Lancets
In general, lower-gauge (wider-tipped) lancets extract more blood and may cause more pain. Often included with blood glucose monitors and kits, automatic lancing devices give users more control over penetration levels.
Some lancing devices feature:
- Locking safety caps
- Multiple depth settings
- Vacuum action to draw blood to surface
- Spring-loaded trigger operation
