Assisted Living

An assisted living residence combines housing, personalized supportive services, and health care designed to meet the needs of older adults who need help with activities of daily living (ADLs). They can be freestanding or part of a facility that also offers independent living and nursing care. Assisted living facilities typically have between 25 and 120 units.

Varying levels of service are available and often include:

  • Three meals a day in a common area
  • Medication management
  • Housekeeping
  • Emergency call systems
  • Assistance with ADLs
  • Social and recreational activities
