Dr. Mindy Kim-Miller, Senior VP of Research and Education, Principal Investigator, completed an MD/PhD Combined Degree Medical Scientist Training Program in order to pursue translational research. She received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied regulated secretion from neuroendocrine cells, and earned her MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Her funding history includes an individual MD/PhD Fellowship from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience Training Grants from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her clinical training includes Internal medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, and Ophthalmology. She enjoys teaching and has given lectures on a diverse range of topics including dementia at the University of Wisconsin, University of Chicago, and University of Illinois ? Chicago. She recently contributed several chapters to a radiology textbook on head and neck imaging. Her work has been presented at national and international scientific conferences. Through her personal experiences living with and helping to care for a grandfather with dementia, she appreciates the need for support, education, and training for caregivers of those with dementia.
